Moonstone the Mysterious Lunar Gem!

Moonstone almost seems magical with a ghostly shimmering glow floating in a crystalline material. The Romans thought that moonstone was formed out of moonlight. Moonstone is a variety of feldspar and the shimmer, which is called schiller or iridescence, is caused by the intergrowth of two different types of feldspar, with different refractive indexes. This translucent feldspar is very popular in magickal jewelry. Representing inspiration and prophecy, its magick may be kept sacred with these herbs, cornflower, and mugwort. When moonstones are kept with these herbs both herbs and stones grow in magick.

Since the closing of the mines that have mined the "Rainbow moonstone," the prices have climbed drastically. Soon the stones will fall into the category of "Precious Stones." Consequently, my cost has risen considerably.
